Overlay Hardwood Flooring

These are floors created from individual boards that contain a wear layer of the timber species of choice, with the underneath layers providing the stability.

They are installed over a foam underlay which provides resilience and sound insulation. They can be glued down if preferred.

We can supply, and install, two superior products - Kährs and EuroPlank.

Kährs - nature is their inspiration and their provider

Kährs is a leading brand in Europe and has been manufactured in Sweden since 1857. It offers outstanding quality in both the timber selected for the flooring and the Lacquer finish used, which is free from solvents, formaldehyde and isocyanate. The patented glueless WoodLoc jointing system ensures no gaps can occur between the boards.

15mm - This has a 4mm wear layer which can be refinished 2-3 times. It comes in 1, 2 and 3 strip options, with a very wide range of timber species and finishing options available. It has a 30 year guarantee. See examples of Kährs 15mm floors in the gallery pages.

7mm Linnea - This has a 0.5-1mm layer of hardwood flooring over a very hard HDF middle layer, which gives the flooring its durability and resistance to indentation. It can not be refinished. It comes in wide and narrow single plank and 2 strip options, with a range of timber species and finishing options available. It has a 12 year guarantee. EuroPlank - add the character that only nature can provide

Made in China using European technology and quality control standards, EuroPlank is a very cost effective alternative to Kährs, with a comparable lacquer finish. Its Uniclic glueless jointing system also ensures no gaps can occur between boards. It comes in a single plank only and a range of timber species and finishes. It also has a 30 year warranty.
